Most eczema creams on the market do work - But have negative side effects. In this article we’ll explore the downsides to the more common eczema creams on the market, as well as what you could do to cure your eczema without using traditional eczema creams.

Traditional Cortisone Based Creams

Most eczema creams on the market are cortisone-based. There are many downsides to using cortisone based creams.

Cortisone breaks down the bacteria in the skin, which helps you get rid of eczema faster. Unfortunately, it also assaults the skin and immune system itself. This makes it more likely that you’ll get eczema in the future as well as increase your susceptibility to other diseases.

Your body and the bacteria in your skin will build up resistance to cortisone quickly, which means you’ll have to apply more and more to get the same effect. Naturally, that means more side effects as well.

Finally, Cortisone is an immunosuppressant, which means exactly what it sounds like: It suppresses the immune system, which also makes it more likely that you’ll get other diseases in the future.

The Alternative – Effective Cures Without Side Effects

The ideal eczema cure would be one that works, one that works quickly and one that works without having any other harmful side effects.

There are many natural cures that fit these criteria. Here we’ll go over just one such cure as an example.

Shea butter or coconut oil both work great and fit the criteria above. It softens the skin, strengthens the immune system while simultaneously combating the eczema and reducing itchiness. There are no side effects.

Apply coconut oil twice a day while reducing allergens and chemicals around you. If you can, install a shower water filter and turn on the air filtration. Also, eat clean and healthy for a week or so. Reduce sugar intake and eat less acidic foods like fried foods or microwave dinners.

This will “calm down” the bacteria and infection while giving the coconut oil time to take effect.

Each different type of eczema would require a different kind of cure. But rest assured, there is a natural cure for every type of eczema. Unlike most Cortisone based cures, which have harmful side effects, natural cures are both highly effective and healthy for the body.

If you have eczema and you want it gone quickly, then you’ve come to the right place. In this article, we’re going to go over several 100% natural cures for eczema that work quickly. So you can get on with your life without having to think about eczema again.

Turmeric and Neem

Go to your local grocery story and get a small portion of Turmeric Powder and Neem leaves. Grind up the Neem leaves. Mix 1 tablespoon of each together with a tiny bit of water to form a pasty substance.

Apply this paste over the rashy areas twice daily.

Ginger Tea with Apple Cider Vinegar

Boil some ginger tea and add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.

This is an amazing combo for fighting bacteria in the body. Apple cider vinegar and ginger both have bacteria combating properties. The ginger tea and the apple cider vinegar combined taste great together and also work quickly to get rid of eczema.

Coconut Oil or Shea Butter

The effect of coconut oil or Shea butter on eczema is twofold. First of all, it softens the skin and reduces itchiness almost immediately. It has a very soothing effect and will reduce your urge to scratch it.

Second, it moistens the area, boosts the immune system and in general just helps your body fight the bacteria and the eczema.

Again, apply twice daily.

Oil Pulling

This is a natural technique for detoxifying the body.

Take a tablespoon of sunflower or sesame oil and put it in your mouth. Do not swallow. Swish it around in your mouth for 10 to 20 minutes. It helps if you read a book or watch TV while you’re doing this. When you’re done, spit it out. Again, don’t swallow.

After a day or two of doing this, you’ll wake up in the morning with a white paste like substance on your teeth and on your tongue. This is the bacterium that’s extracted by doing this process. By extracting the bacteria from your body this way, you prevent it from going back in and causing, sustaining or worsening eczema.

Wash your mouth carefully in the morning.

There are at least 7 different types of eczema, each with different cures. The ones listed above are just a handful to get you started. If you really want to pinpoint the most effective possible cures for you, the best way to do that would to be find an in depth guide to natural eczema cures.

Eczema has many different causes. If you want to not only cure eczema but never get it again, it’s important to understand why you got eczema in the first place. Then, you can avoid the things that cause the outbreak and avoid getting it in the future. Here we’ll go over a few of the most common causes of eczema.

Over-Reactive Immune System

The predominant theory about why eczema happens has to do with your body’s immune system. Basically, eczema is triggered when your body sees something that it views as a threat to the system and over reacts causing the redness, dryness or rashes.

Here are some of the most common things that can trigger such a reaction:

Perfumes, Cologne, Scented Oils, Scented Soaps

Fragranced chemicals that come in contact with your body are a common cause of eczema. Stop wearing perfume or cologne and switch out scented soaps with regular soaps.

Unclean Shower Water

If you live in an area where water isn’t filtrated very well, or if you have old pipes, then toxins could be coming in through your shower and contacting your skin, causing the eczema to happen.

One great way to combat this issue is to install a shower water filter. It’s inexpensive and very effective.

Allergens in the Air

Dust mites, mold, pollens and other allergens could be floating in the air. By breathing those in you take them into your body.

Installing an air purifier in your home or office could make a big difference.

Other Skin Irritants

Fabrics, cigarette smoke, chlorine from pools and other chemicals around where you live or work could contribute to the issue.

Are there any chemicals that surround you on a regular basis? It’s possible these might contribute to your eczema.

Diet

Finally, your diet could also have a lot to do with it.

Foods that are high in acid or high in sugar should both be avoided. Bacteria tend to live better in acidic environments. They also tend to feed on sugar.

Lowering your blood’s acidity level and lowering the amount of sugar you take in will reduce the chances of you getting eczema in the future.

These are some of the more common causes of eczema. If you remove these things from your life, the chances of you getting eczema will go down dramatically.

There are many different types of Eczema. Being able to identify which type you or your child has will help you cure the eczema.

Atopic Eczema – The Most Common Type

Atopic Eczema, also known as Atopic Dermatitis, is the type of eczema you might think of when you usually think of eczema. The skin turns a little dry and reddish and rash like.

It’s very common in children and is often recurring. It may come and go throughout childhood and just disappear when they reach teenage age.

Dyshidrotic Eczema – Blistery Hands

Another common type of eczema is Dyshidrotic eczema. It usually takes the form of blister-like formations on the hand or feet. It could appear on the person’s palms or in the webbings between fingers.

This is often accompanied by rashes and itchiness.

Varicose Eczema – Legs

Varicose eczema results in itchy, red and inflamed lower legs. It tends to affect middle aged people more than children.

It’s more likely to occur with those with higher cholesterol and is believed to be related to blood circulation.

Asteatotic eczema – Cracks on Skin

Another type of eczema causes cracks on the skin rather than rashes. It can happen in low humidity environments or extremely cold environments.

This type of eczema tends to start out in the legs and make its way up.

Neurodermatitis – Incessant Itching

This type of eczema is very devilish. Instead of directly causing a rash, this type of eczema causes irritation in the nerve endings, bringing on an intense urge to scratch.

When the itch is scratched, it causes inflammation which then causes even more of a desire to scratch. The scratch – Itch – Scratch cycle then becomes a vicious cycle.

Contact Dermatitis

Another type of eczema is contact dermatitis. This is when the skin becomes irritated due to contact with either allergic materials or chemical irritants.

These irritants could be things you don’t normally think of as irritants. Cigarette smoke or chlorine from pools can both cause eczema outbreaks.

There are many different types of eczema, but at the root they’re all similar. The symptoms are similar and there are natural cures for each type of eczema.

Eczema can have a profound effect on your life. It can stop you from living the life that you want. Many people find that the solutions offered by their doctors just don’t work. If this sounds familiar, try out some of these eczema natural remedies.

Blueberry Leaf Extract
Blueberry leaves have natural base ingredients that can have an excellent effect on your Eczema. The blueberry leaves have a natural anti inflammatory medicine called “chlorogenic acid”. The extract comes in cream or lotion form and can be found at most health food or wellness stores.

Flaxseed Oil
This stuff has a taste no one could like, but the effects it can have on your eczema is nothing but great. Not only will it reduced your eczema but it will improve the health of your skin overall. It will take a while before you start seeing results and you must stay consistent with the dosage, but hang in there, the results will be worth it. Because the dosage is different for everyone, you should consult your doctor for some medical advice first.

Moisturize the Affected Area
The more moisture in your skin, the less likely it can split, crack, flake, and itch. It goes without saying, the more moisturizer the better. But you should at least moisturize twice a day. The best time to moisturize is right after bathing. Your damp skin will help lock in the moisturizer for greater benefits.

These are some great tips for helping you deal with eczema. In order to cure your eczema you’ll need a complete system.

Susan Clark suffered from eczema too until she found a cure for eczema. Click here to read her story.
